How the Franchise Started?

Electrodry was founded in 1983 by Paul Burchell in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia.

Paul initially started a carpet cleaning business called Monster Magic and later developed Electrodry to offer a unique dry carpet cleaning process.

The company pioneered a “bonnet cleaning” or dry carpet cleaning system developed with U.S. chemists that uses acids, alkalines, and heat to break down and neutralize stains without wetting the carpets.

Electrodry became one of Australia’s first major cleaning franchises and grew to over 140 franchisees nationwide.
