Gami Chicken has opened its first regional outlet in Albury at 452A Dean Street, below Regent Cinemas, bringing its popular Korean fried chicken and street-style dishes like cupbap and tteokbokki to the area. The new store is led by local franchisee Stuart Fontana and offers the brand’s signature “K-Street” menu.
Founded in 2006 by four friends with a passion for quality Korean fried chicken, Gami has grown steadily to 32 stores across Australia and serves around 64,000 customers monthly. The company aims to expand further, targeting 100 stores by 2027 and $60 million in revenue by the end of 2025.
Gami’s success is built on a secret blend of seventeen herbs and spices, strict quality control, and strong franchisee support. The brand has seen a 60% increase in sales for its “Korean Delights” range in the past year and is focused on fast-casual dining growth with ambitious expansion plans.
Executive Director Jun Lee says Gami’s appeal is boosted by the global popularity of Korean culture and its ability to blend authentic flavors with Australian tastes. The Albury store is open seven days a week and offers popular dishes like the Mad Gochujang Chicken platter and bibimbap bowl.
