A new Zarraffa’s Coffee drive-thru has opened in Karawatha, giving locals another spot to enjoy their favourite coffee brew. The store is the seventh outlet for franchisees Mayur, Rupa and Nik Patel, who have been part of the brand for almost 20 years. The opening follows the franchise’s recent growth in Central Queensland, including its new Rockhampton South location, as Zarraffa’s continues to expand across key regional and metropolitan areas.
Located on the corner of Wembley Road and Forest Way, right beside a Shell service station and NightOwl, the site offers quick access to the Gateway and Logan Motorways — making it convenient for commuters and residents alike.
The Karawatha store features a full-service drive-thru designed to handle heavy traffic, along with a café inside where customers can sit and enjoy barista-made coffee, breakfast options, freshly baked goods, and snacks.
The opening has created around 35 new jobs, with some staff moving over from the Browns Plains store.
CEO Marnie Sheldon praised the Patel family, saying their continued reinvestment “reflects the strength of our franchise model and the trust we’ve built together.”
“We’re excited to bring Zarraffa’s to Karawatha. Our goal is to make the store feel like a second home — welcoming, reliable, and quick.” Franchisee Mayur Patel said.
This new location is part of Zarraffa’s wider growth strategy to expand into high-traffic, convenient locations. The company has set its sights on reaching more than 200 stores nationwide ahead of the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.
