About the Franchise

Zambrero is known for its fresh, tasty, and healthy Mexican food that focuses on sustainability and social impact.

Franchise locations come in various formats, including traditional stores and drive-thru outlets. The brand emphasizes a smooth operating model with restaurants designed for efficient service and lower power loads.

Franchise partners join the “Zam Fam,” a supportive network with dedicated head office teams assisting in operations, marketing, training, and growth. Zambrero encourages multi-unit ownership and offers scalable growth opportunities.

How the Franchise Started?

Zambrero was founded in 2006 by Dr. Sam Prince, a medical student in Canberra, Australia. The idea was to create fresh, healthy Mexican-inspired food with a humanitarian mission.

Zambrero introduced the Plate 4 Plate initiative—donating a meal to someone in need for every burrito or bowl sold.

From a single location Zambrero grew rapidly to become Australia’s largest Mexican franchise, with over 300 restaurants globally including New Zealand, Ireland, the UK, and the USA.
