Nando’s has officially opened a brand-new restaurant in Merrylands, Western Sydney, bringing its iconic flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken to the heart of the Mason & Main Eat Street precinct. 

The Merrylands launch follows another major milestone for Nando’s: the opening of its first-ever drive-thru restaurant in Australia, located in Roxburgh Park, Melbourne. That site, which opened in June, marks a strategic shift toward faster, more flexible dining options, with the brand aiming to open 25 new stores across Australia and New Zealand over the next three years.

Located on the corner of McFarlane and Treves Streets, the Merrylands Nando’s offers a vibrant dine-in experience, takeaway, and delivery. The restaurant features modern design, Afro-Portuguese art, bottomless soft drinks, frozen cocktails, and a curated menu of local wines and craft beers. Open daily from 11am to 10pm, the space creates a lively addition to Merrylands’ rapidly expanding food scene.

To celebrate its launch, the first 100 customers were treated to free quarter chicken and chips, while the opening also created 16 new local jobs.

As Nando’s continues its national expansion, the new Merrylands location reflects the brand’s commitment to combining convenience with culture—and, of course, bold PERi-PERi flavour.
