Schnitz Opens 80th Location as Warrnambool Store Launches

The Australian fast-casual schnitzel chain Schnitz has officially opened a new outlet in Warrnambool, VIC (corner of Liebig & Timor streets), marking its 80th location across Australia.

The newly launched store offers the full Schnitz menu — from signature schnitzels and fresh salads to chips and sides — and will operate seven days a week under the management of franchisees Scott and Nicole Maddern, along with Matthew McMahon and Darren Lynch.

Schnitz’s growth trajectory appears to remain upward: just a few years ago, the chain publicly shared ambitions of doubling its store count to 150 by 2028, tapping into growing demand for fast-casual dining, particularly across high-traffic shopping precincts and high streets.

As the brand continues scaling, the new Warrnambool opening signals not just growth — but sustained momentum, underlining Schnitz’s appeal as a strong food-service franchise investment in Australia.

Seasonal menu launches are becoming a key strategy for major food franchises, with brands like Baskin-Robbins recently introduced limited-time festive offerings in Australia.
