Specialty Coffee Leader Zarraffa’s Opens Compact Drive-Thru in Ayr, QLD

An Award-winning Australian coffee franchise chain has expanded its regional footprint with the opening of a new drive-thru store in Ayr, Queensland, strengthening the brand’s presence in rural communities and advancing its long-term national growth strategy.

Located at 125 Edward Street, Ayr QLD 4807, the new site features the company’s modern, compact QSR drive-thru format, a store design introduced in 2023 to support expansion into smaller towns, regional centres, and high-traffic roadside locations. The Ayr outlet includes a dedicated drive-thru lane, a walk-up window, and an outdoor seating area, offering customers multiple ways to access the brand’s full menu.

The store serves Zarraffa’s signature coffee range along with freshly baked breakfast items, pastries, and savoury snacks. It operates from 5am to 8pm daily, with reduced hours on public holidays. This flexible-access model is intended to meet the needs of early commuters, families, and local workers across the Burdekin region.

The Ayr opening forms part of Zarraffa’s broader expansion push as the company continues rolling out its smaller-format drive-thru stores across Australia. aThese compact sites now account for a growing share of the network, making them a key component of the brand’s plan to surpass 200 Australian locations nationally by 2032.
