Zarraffa’s Coffee was founded in 1996 by Kenton and Rachel Campbell on Queensland’s Gold Coast, Australia. It began as a humble roasting house operating from the backstreets of Southport.

The first store had just three tables and nine chairs. Kenton’s dream was to build Australia’s premium coffee brand, focusing on exceptional product quality and a strong service guarantee.

Starting with a $9,000 personal loan, hard work, and passion, the company grew quickly. Early growth was driven by customer loyalty to the fresh coffee and friendly atmosphere.

Over time, Zarraffa’s expanded its footprint across Queensland and eventually into New South Wales and Western Australia.

The company pioneered drive-thru coffee stores in 2009 and acquired a South Australian drive-thru chain in 2025, growing its national presence.
