Burger Urge has officially opened its 32nd location in Wilsonton, Queensland, its second venue in the Toowoomba region, joining the successful original store that opened in 2017. Located in a bustling food precinct next to Starbucks, Burger Urge Wilsonton offers gourmet burgers made with fresh, quality ingredients in a fun and vibrant atmosphere.
The restaurant’s interior is creatively themed around the cult film Empire Records, featuring indie pop music, vintage decor, and retro style. This unique design creates a memorable dining experience that pairs perfectly with Burger Urge’s bold and flavour-packed menu. The Wilsonton venue emphasizes community connection and old-school hospitality, hallmarks of the Burger Urge brand.
Franchise partners Grant and Jordan Phillips, who have strong ties to the Wilsonton community, lead the new venue. Grant Phillips said, “We’re deeply connected to Wilsonton—it’s been home to us for many years and holds a special place in our hearts.” Their local roots and commitment to excellent hospitality reflect Burger Urge’s focus on values-driven partnerships and customer care.
Burger Urge has also organized an official ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on a later date, providing an opportunity for the community to celebrate the new addition with the Phillips family.
Since its founding in 2007 by brothers Sean and Colby Carthew, Burger Urge has grown steadily across Australia, focusing on regional expansion with franchise partners who are passionate about food and community. The Wilsonton store welcomes locals and visitors daily, with opening hours from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday to Wednesday, and 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM Thursday to Sunday.
