Jim’s Cleaning Accelerates Growth as It Targets Australia’s $21B Cleaning Market

Australian home-grown franchise Jim’s Cleaning Group is continuing its strong growth trajectory as it builds one of the country’s largest service-based franchise networks, solidifying its presence in both residential and commercial markets. With more than 1,700 cleaning franchisees and ongoing annual growth in franchise uptake, the company is positioning itself to capitalise on Australia’s booming cleaning economy.

According to Jim’s Cleaning divisional franchisor Haydar Hussein, the entire cleaning services market in Australia is worth an estimated $21 billion, and the business currently holds only a small share — leaving substantial room for network expansion and deeper market penetration.

“We’re giving out over $20 million a year in contract work to our franchisees… and we pay them within 14 days, even if it takes us 90 days to get paid,” Hussein said, emphasising the brand’s strong revenue engine and franchisee support infrastructure.

Markets across residential cleaning, carpet cleaning, window and pressure cleaning, car detailing and specialised services are driving interest from new investors and entrepreneurs seeking scalable business opportunities with relatively modest startup costs compared to food or retail concepts. What’s Driving Franchise Growth

Jim’s Cleaning’s expansion reflects a multi-pronged strategy focused on:

  • Specialised service divisions: Franchisees train and operate in niche cleaning categories — enabling expertise, higher yield jobs, and repeat customer demand.

  • Tech and lead generation support: Proprietary franchise management systems give franchisees control over their lead territories and optimise efficiency.

  • Accessible entry costs: Typical upfront costs for a Jim’s Cleaning franchise are relatively low (around $30,000 all-inclusive), allowing more aspiring business owners to join.

  • Brand strength and recognition: Leveraging the broader Jim’s Group name, which operates over 5,000 franchisees across 50+ services globally.

Hussein noted that Jim’s Cleaning aims to significantly uplift its national cleaning market share in the coming years, boosting commercial customer engagement and service diversification across major Australian cities.

As Jim’s Cleaning continues its expansion, many prospective franchisees explore the broader service-based franchise opportunities in Australia, particularly in home services and B2B sectors where scalability and recurring revenue streams remain strong.
