Zarraffa’s Coffee Opens New Capalaba Park Drive-Thru

Zarraffa’s Coffee has officially opened its brand-new Capalaba Park drive-thru, strengthening the brand’s growing network of convenience-focused cafés across Queensland. The new location represents the franchise’s continued shift toward high-efficiency drive-thru formats — a trend rapidly reshaping the Australian café-franchise landscape.

Located at Capalaba Park on Redland Bay Road, the new drive-thru is already serving locals with the fast, convenient service Zarraffa’s has become known for.

A Strategic Upgrade for the Local Community

The Capalaba Park store features an enhanced dual-lane drive-thru, designed to speed up service during peak periods and support higher customer volume. With approximately 40 staff now employed at the store — including 20 new local hires — the opening brings new job opportunities and fresh energy to the Capalaba community.

Franchisee Justin Fu, a long-time member of the Zarraffa’s network, now adds Capalaba Park to his multi-site portfolio, which includes the successful Cannon Hill location.

Drive-Thru Growth: Why Australian Franchise Investors Should Pay Attention

Zarraffa’s Coffee has made it clear: the future of its expansion lies in drive-thru-first franchise models. This aligns with broader Australian consumer behaviour, where convenience, speed, and accessibility are driving decision-making across the café and QSR franchises sectors.

For potential franchisees, drive-thru formats can provide:

  • Lower build-out costs compared to full retail footprints

  • Higher daily throughput from commuter traffic

  • Reduced staffing requirements due to efficient workflow design

  • A proven model backed by a mature national franchise system

Zarraffa’s Ongoing National Growth

With more than 85 stores across Australia — and a target of over  200 Australian locations nationally by 2032. — Zarraffa’s Coffee remains one of the strongest franchise players in the café segment.

Its expansion momentum is well-timed, with Queensland’s population growth and upcoming global events like the 2032 Brisbane Olympics expected to boost demand for fresh, convenient hospitality options.
